Co-editors Marcia Langton AO and Judith Ryan AM invite you to explore 65,000 Years: A Short History of Australian Art, a journey through the world’s oldest continuous artistic traditions.
This session examines Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, from ancient practices to contemporary prominence, featuring twenty-five new writings by leading thinkers across generations and disciplines. It confronts colonialism’s legacy while celebrating the resilience and creativity of First Peoples’ art.
